WALLENPAUPACK LAKE ESTATES PROPERTY OWNERS ASSOCIATION BUILDING COMMITTEE The November
5, 2011 meeting of the Building Committee was opened at 9:02 AM. In attendance
were Chairperson/Secretary Sandi Boyer, Member Mike Difrancesco, new member Al
Kenny, Building Compliance Officer Fran Raimo, and Board Representative Al
Cucciniello. The October
minutes were approved. We welcome our
new member, Al Kenny. Old Business There was discussion concerning the proposed
regulation regarding the ‘Letter of Continuing Compliance’, which is still
under review by the Board. Al C.
reported that the Board is considering all the legalities involved, such as
when WLE’s BCO could enter a house to make an inspection. Storm
water run-off was discussed: the committee believes there needs to be some
expert engineering input, especially with new construction which recontours
existing conditions. It was suggested
that a local engineer who specializes in storm water management be consulted as
to his price for a review of a site plan with a statement of either ok as is,
or will need more to avert problems.
Then the property owner could be required to deal with any problems
before they occur. Any additional cost
for this service would be added to the building permit. The committee believes that something should
be done to plan for storm water management with new construction and additions. The
appliances stored in front of a house on Mohican have been removed. New Business The colors for metal roofs need to be in
compliance with the colors for shingle roofs. Since
our last meeting in October there have been no new house permits (Number stands
at 1350). Also there were 31 non-fee
permits, and 16 tree removal permits. Next meeting
is April 7, 2012 at 9 AM. Meeting
adjourned at 10:10 AM. Respectfully
submitted, Sandi Boyer,
Secretary/Chairperson |
