    Summer Issue #116

    MAINTENANCE  REPORT
    by Charlie Gioe

The Maintenance Department did it again; they had all the amenity areas open early and on time for the summer season. There are still plenty of projects to keep them busy for the summer and beyond. Some of them are the Adult Lodge being

finished with a cultured stone entry, hardscaping with scrubs, and latticed to conceal the utilities. The convenience buildings will also be getting a fresh coat of paint and all amenity areas will be routinely maintained.

While doing routine inspections of the docks at the marina, we have noticed that many pontoon boats are leaving the awnings up on their boat. Please close them upon leaving as they act as a sail and push the boat into the dock causing damage. Also, when windy enough, it pushes on the dock causing stress and breakage to the brackets that hold the docks together. As a reminder to all boat owners, please, carpet is not allowed on docks.

When leaving an amenity area, please take your property with you. Since Maintenance does not have the time to see if your item(s) are damaged, left for trash or just left behind, they will be discarding it.

There are a couple of things that property owners need to be aware of. First is keeping your ditch and culvert pipe clear of debris; this will prevent property and road damage. The second is making sure that you keep the ten foot right away of the road clear of all objects. This will prevent us from cutting road side grass during the warmer weather and during the winter that space is needed to push back snow. Maintenance takes pride in keeping W.L.E. a clean and well maintained community, so please use the trash containers around the community and keep W.L.E. a clean and beautiful place to live and have fun. To all, enjoy the summer season!
